Conbraco Industries was created when two Detroit-based brass valves and fittings merged in 1928, forming Consolidated Brass Company. After 90 years, Conbraco is an American success story still being written.
The company, now known as Apollo® Valves, earned a reputation for developing new products to meet emerging market demands. In 1968, the company introduced its Apollo® Series 70 ball valve to the commercial market. Fast forward to 2010 when Aalberts integrated piping systems acquired Conbraco.
Conbraco Industries’ “APOLLO®” Valves is internationally renowned for setting the bar for quality and dependability in the valve technology market. The product offering features ball valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, butterfly valves, medical gas valves, check valves, strainers, and a new-patented range of stainless steel and casted backflow preventers for the commercial and fire protection markets.
A revolutionary innovation, the product became the most specified ball valve globally. In addition, line extensions have resulted in new materials, sizes,and applications for the classic Apollo ball valve.
In 2005, the company brought all its products under the Apollo® Valves brand.Products sold under the Conbraco brand included plumbing and heating products,water gauges, pop safety, relief valves, marine fittings, and back flow prevention devices. Those lines joined the company's ball valves, actuators,and mixing valves as part of the complete Apollo Valves family of products.
