From petrochemical manufacturing to food processing, automated valves are a critical part of many manufacturing processes.
The Macomb Group Valve Automation Division provides sizing, selection, and assembly of components for pneumatic and electrically operated valves. The division also offers customers instrumentation products to meter and regulate temperature, level and flow.
Recently, The Macomb Group launched its fifth and newest automated valve assembly site in Jeffersonville, Indiana to serve customers in southern Indiana and northern Kentucky. This location complements established valve assembly locations in Midland and Livonia, Michigan; Akron, Ohio; and Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to Scott Henegar, the director of Macomb’s Valve Automation Division, the organization strives to help customers solve problems ranging from a simple valve assembly to more complex applications that address frequent downtime and loss of production.
“A lot of our activity is simple assembly, such as replacing worn out equipment with off the shelf components,” Henegar said. “But on many occasions, we have to fully evaluate the intended application and all of its variables, which includes determining the correct product and the environment it will be operating in.”
Henegar added that for some applications, The Macomb Group will provide documentation, get the necessary engineering approvals, provide dimensional drawings, and conduct in-house testing.
“I think a point of pride is the technical expertise and support we provide to both our internal and external customers,” Henegar noted.
The Valve Automation Division is working to expand its presence on The Macomb Group’s e-commerce website to offer customers a full range of valve automation products from the world’s leading manufacturers.
