FPPI Kydex ring is for use as a backing material behind sprinkler escutcheons. 4 in diameter covers most oversize holes (including oversize holes in ceiling materials to meet seismic requirements) cut in ceiling material during installation or ceiling material replacement. Kydex is a fire-resistant material made by cleardex. May be cut to install around an existing sprinkler drop.
