B-Line began as a division of the Binkley Company located in Wright City, Missouri in 1956. As industrial demand for its products grew, the B-Line division moved to Highland, Illinois in 1969 to begin operations in a new, more modern facility. In 1971, B-Line became a wholly owned subsidiary of Sigma Chemical of St. Louis, Missouri, which is now known as Sigma-Aldrich Corporation. In 2000, B-Line became a stand-alone division of Cooper Industries, adding strength to Cooper's position in the electronics and telecommunications markets.
