The Aaliant and Niagara product families are both manufactured by Venture Measurement in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Aaliant branded strain gage target meter was originally known as the "Ramapo" meter. It was developed and sold by the Ramapo Instrument Company and later by the Hersey Measurement Company. There have been more than 20,000 "Ramapo" meters successfully applied in difficult applications since 1954.
